Jessica Joy is a self-taught paper collage artist. She began dabbling in paper collage in 2017, practicing with books her kids had read to literal pieces. She continues to use found and thrifted materials to create art centered around the ordinary beauty of things we encounter everyday. Subjects she returns to often are backyard flowers (and weeds), as well as moths and butterflies. She lives in her hometown of Mobile, Alabama with her husband and four kids.
